GPRS - What is that? Do you know?
True facts about GPRS (General Packet Radio Service):
GPRS is a packet oriented mobile data service available to users of the cellular communication
Systems, global system for mobile communications (GSM), as well as in the 3G systems.
It is also a very widely deployed wireless data service.
GPRS upgrades GSM data services providing:
-Multimedia messaging service (MMS)
-Short message service (SMS)
-Instant messaging
-Internet applications for devices
And many more!
One fact that many do not know is that if we SMS over GPRS, an SMS transmission speed of about 30 SMS messages per minute may be achieved.
This is much faster than using the ordinary SMS over GSM, whose SMS transmission speed is about 6 to 10 SMS messages per minute.

I believe GPRS is invented for the convenience of people due to globalisation? The World is so big, yet we can actually contact other people in different part of the world! How is this possible? Through systems such as GPRS & Internet Broadband, this is advancement
through the centuries to be able to reach people whom we can never reach if we were in the past.
We can also collect datas and exchange knowledges simply surfing in the Internet. You can find almost anything that you can ever think of
simply surfing the Internet. How great is that?!
Although GPRS has helped us in many ways, it also has its disadvantages…
GPRS is able to locating cars and vehicles as a tracking device. So is it safe? Are you being tracked by people who you don't know?
You’ll probably be questioning about this but yes! It’s true! There are cases whereby vehicles were stolen using this technology. Still not convinced?
